Giant Contact SLR Trail Integrated Handlebars 800mm
The all-new Contact SLR Trail Integrated handlebar/stem unit offers adjustability, compliance, light weight and a clean, simple profile. Weighing just 255 grams, it has all the advantages of a one-piece bar and stem but with the adjustability of a conventional setup. Riders can set it to their desired stem length (40mm, 45mm or 50mm) and rotate the bar to achieve the angle they want. A proprietary carbon fibre layup and slimmer profile near the centre of the handlebar adds compliance. This helps absorb shocks and vibrations, reducing arm pump and improving hand comfort on rugged terrain.
KEY PERFORMANCE FACTORS
This integrated handlebar/stem unit allows you to dial in cockpit positioning with total precision. You can set stem length to 40mm, 45mm or 50mm using spacers, and adjust the angle to +/- 3 degrees, giving you an effective back sweep of 7, 8 or 9 degrees.
Compliant & Durable
Featuring a proprietary continuous carbon fibre lay-up and a slimmer profile at the centre, the Contact SLR Trail Integrated handlebar scores 42% better than the Contact SL Trail aluminium handlebar and 16% better than the non-integrated Contact SLR Trail carbon handlebar on the 50kg Vertical Compliance Test. That means better shock and vibration absorption, less arm pump and greater hand comfort. The continuous carbon fiber lay-up also reinforces the bar strength without adding weight.
A sleek, integrated cover hides the top cap and steerer tube. The cover can be replaced with a mount for a bike computer head unit, GoPro camera or headlight.
